Attend Unto Reading – The Value of Spiritual Reading
We will be offering a series of leaflets featuring Meditations and Readings of St. Alphonsus Ligouri. In this leaflet he explores the great value to be attained by the practice of Spiritual Reading. As St. Bernard said, spiritual reading instructs at once both in prayer and in the practice of virtue, concluding that Spiritual Reading and Prayer are the weapons by which hell is conquered and Heaven is won. St. Alphonsus explores some of the great blessings of spiritual reading and then goes on to give some recommendations to follow to draw great fruit from it.
