Memorare Prayer – Marian Holy Card

The Memorare prayer which is one of the most popular prayers in the Catholic Church invoking the aid of the Blessed Virgin Mary, traces its origin back to the 15th century.  In the 17th century a French priest, Fr. Claude Bernard, contributed significantly to its popularity by distributing over 200,000 leaflets with the Memorare prayer and preaching its efficacy in invoking Our Lady’s aid.  The Memorare is often prayed in times of need, placing a great trust in the Blessed Virgin Mary’s intercessory power with God.
