St. Rose Philippine Duchesne is a special saint for Kansas and Missouri. She founded a convent and school in St. Charles, Missouri and when she was 71 went to the Potawatomie mission in Sugar Creek, Kansas. She was too old to learn the language, so she prayed the rosary for them, earning the nickname of “Woman Who Prays Always.”
We give you a holy card with original artwork by our staff artist, showing the saint with a teepee and rosary to symbolise her mission and with the Sacred Heart to represent her order, the Society of the Sacred Heart. On the back is her favourite prayer of reparation to the Sacred Heart.
